Hello... I'm Gary
Whitewolf Woodings and I would like to share some of my story with
you...
I was born May, 29 1960 in Anaheim California. As a child we moved so often I have no place I ever really considered home. With each move I had to start over with new schools, friends, interests and struggled to fit in. This pattern of moving seems to have carried into my adult life, giving me exposure to a great number of teachings.
I grew up with the hidden Native American heritage that has occurred within the United States. At age twenty eight I had a dream that spurred my Spiritual Awakening. After seeking spiritual connection through several churches, I finally found my way to the teachings of the Lakota nation and the Inipi (Sweat Lodge), where I felt comfortable. This was the foundation of my spiritual birth and the roots of my connection to Creator/God, Mother Earth and All that is. Along with this I found the dance within the Native American Pow-wow community as well as my deep connection to drumming and singing ceremonial and pow-wow songs.
Interestingly enough,
this spiritual re-birth heralded the death of a seventeen year
marriage and a career in law enforcement, as my spiritual practices
no longer fit with the lifestyle I had left behind. I had to leave a
toxic situation and in doing so, I had to leave what was dearest to
my heart, my two beautiful daughters, which my entire world revolved
around. Today they are my inspiration and have graced me with three
wonderful grandchildren, with another on the way from my younger
daughter.
In
1996 I relocated to New
Hampshire,
where I continued my spiritual quest as well as for healing my
losses. I was introduced to Reiki
and was soon attuned to Level two. I took up Tai Chi, Qigong,
meditation and came into a fantastic relationship of love with the
crystal and mineral kingdom. Having learned to douse using a pendulum
and dousing rods at age ten, I joined dousing with my growing
understanding of the healing properties of the Stone Nation and have
intuitively developed my skills for balancing our Chakras, healing
the auric field and determining if there are any negative energies
that need to be removed from our energy field.
I also facilitated ceremonial drum circles and created conscious
communities in two locations in New Hampshire for ten years. Due
to my love of drumming I met and was trained in the field of Drum
Therapy, using the “Helmtone Drum Protocol”, developed by master
drummer Buddy Helm.
While
in New England, my career shifted to several types of construction
which ended in 2001, when I fell forty feet from the top of a steel
structure on Long Island NY. Every doctor I met said I should be dead
or at the very least quadriplegic form the injuries I sustained.
After two years of recovery work I returned to dance and live a
mostly normal life. However I was unable to physically return to
construction, so the question arose again… Now What? This was when
I received my calling to be of service to people in the healing arts
as a profession, rather than as a leader in my Spiritual Community.
After
researching my options I chose Transpersonal Clinical Hypnotherapy,
Neuro Linguistic Programming, Past Life Regression Therapy and
Emotional
Freedom Technique.
I studied with world renowned teachers in these fields like Jack
Elias and Henry Bolduc. In 2008 I moved to Florida,
where I was introduced to Ipsalu Tantra Kriya
Yoga.
Having been so deeply changed by Ipsalu Tantra I chose to take
Teacher Training in 2010 and have since taught Ipsalu during my time
in California.
After years of wandering, including a journey
back to California for the past two years, I have come to understand
where Home is. I recently found my way back to that place of
Heart-felt Community. Florida... I am home... Here to be of service
to my community. I look forward to sharing my gifts with you.
Namaste,
Gary Woodings Facilitator of Divine Human Empowerment
